Education On The Role And Authority Of Midwives In The Implementation Of Midwifery Practice Based On Midwifery Law

Abstract

The implementation of high-quality midwifery practices by midwives as one of the health human resources plays an important role in protecting the health of mothers and newborns. So it is necessary to increase knowledge and skills to carry out tasks according to roles and authorities properly. Providing education, socialization, training, workshops, and seminars is one way to improve human resources. The purpose of this community service (PkM) is to increase midwives' knowledge and understanding of their roles and authority in carrying out midwifery practice. The method used is community education, and the community in question consists of 41 midwives from Ranting II IBI Semarang City. The material delivery model in this PkM is a lecture. The result of the implementation of this PkM is the increased knowledge and understanding of midwives about the role and authority of midwives in the implementation of midwifery practice based on the Midwifery Law.
